How to do it

  1. Sit on the floor with your legs straight in front of you and your hands on the floor behind your hips, fingers pointing toward your feet.
  2. Push through your hands and lift your hips into a straight line from head to heels.
  3. Lift one leg straight up toward the ceiling.
  4. Bring the leg inward toward the center (adduction) and lower it back down toward the other leg in a controlled way.
  5. Switch legs and repeat.
