How to do it

  1. Stand in mountain pose with your feet parallel and hip-width apart.
  2. Inhale and sweep your arms straight up overhead.
  3. Exhale and fold forward from your hips, not your lower back, keeping your spine long.
  4. Let your hands rest on the floor, on your shins, or hold your calves, with your head relaxed.
  5. Bend your knees slightly if needed to keep your spine long.
